I sometimes get on my knees and scrub the carpet (square metre by square metre) with a rubber bristled dog brush, then vacuum, repeat and vacuum… but it takes hours. Therefore it doesn’t happen often; -and therefore it’s worse again when I eventually get around to trying the next time.
I have a good vacuum cleaner, but it won’t get the hairs out until they are loosened first.
I need carpet for sound control, and I can’t/ won’t keep the dogs outdoors.

Okay so…my Basset Hound Watson has smelly breath. Thing is it wasn’t always this smelly, until about a couple months ago, his breath wasn’t that bad, but now it just has this odd smell. I can’t quite describe it, but it just smells something like stale water? lol (he gets fresh water every day) He recently was at the vet for a check up and to get revacinnated, and the vet looked at his teeth and said they were healthy. I brush his teeth often with a baby toothbrush (soft bristles), and he is fed holistic dog food, Wysong Optimal Performance and different types of wet holistic food. He frequently gets raw bones to gnaw on and rawhides, so why is his breath smelly and what can I do to help him with his breath? (He’s 1 yr and 4 months BTW) I swear I read some where that you can give dogs cilantro in their food and it will help freshen their breath. Would anyone recommend this? Any other options? Preferably natural alternatives?
