im trying to get waves and people tell me for rough hair use hard brush and soft hair use medium. well i have a hard brush aand i’m basically trying to figure out how to soften the bristles. I’ve tried leaving it in hot water but the bristles arent soft yet. is ther any other way?

I was drying my hair and all of a sudden my round barrel brush gets stuck at the roots of my hair. Help?!
